Director of Operations & Technology
Reports to: Lead Pastor
FLSA Designation: Exempt
Classification: Regular, full-time
Salary: $40,000
General Description: The role of the Director of Operations is overseeing daily operations at Harrisonville Community Church. The primary function of this position is to support the Senior Pastor by executing structural, technical, & day-to-day operations throughout the organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the Senior Pastor is able to focus on his primary role of teaching, preaching, vision casting, and leadership of the Church.
Essential Functions:
- To provide oversight and direction as it relates to the daily operations and technology
- To monitor and maintain all the equipment needed for sound, lighting and technology
- To provide oversight for the building and grounds
- To provide guidance for the budgeting process
- To be the administrative contact person in the building for the church throughout the week
Operations:
- To create a process for maintaining and revitalizing our facilities and grounds
- To serve as a project manager for both individual and team-based projects
- To recruit volunteers or contractors who can provide reasonable and reliable work
- To monitor the office, building and ministry budgets
- Review monthly bills for accuracy and potential cost savings
- Maintain and review contracts for software, services, and equipment
- To work with the staff to create and implement a plan/flow for all Sunday morning services
Technology:
- To serve in the role of IT Systems Administrator for Harrisonville Community Church
- Install and configure software, hardware, and networks
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Implement and monitor web/device filtering for student networks and hardware
- To serve as our AVL Lead (Audio, Video & Lighting)
- Maintain and prepare all AVL systems for Church services/events
- Ensure plans and media are entered into media projection computer for all services/events
- Ensure AVL Volunteer Team is scheduled for all Church Events, Serving whenever possible
- Recruit and train volunteers for AVL
- To create or find media for Sermon Series, Announcements, & Social Media
- To serve as our Web and Internet lead
- To manage our Church Management Software (PCO)
- To explore and update our in-house technology and communication channels
Working Relationships:
- To support and respond positively to the leadership and vision of the Lead Pastor
- To develop a good working relationship and open communication with staff and lay leaders as it relates specifically to operations, budgets and technology, and their ministry
- To interact with the elders and church treasurer
- To coordinator and communicate with the Administrative Assistant/Office Manager
