Ministries

If you are looking to get engaged in ministry here at HCC, we have no shortage of ministry options. Here is a list and a little information about areas you can serve in.

Youth Group

Our youth group is aptly named 816HCC because we minister to students from all over our county and from several different churches. Every Sunday night 6:30 to 9:00, students between 6th and 12th grades can come and be fed some amazing food, hear a relevant and Bible-based message, engage in student-led worship, and participate in small groups that are organized by age and gender. We have a team of 10 youth leaders who faithfully serve about 40 students, arming them with the truth and making space for questions to be asked as they make their faith their own. Our desire is to partner with parents and be a second voice of love and truth in students' lives. All students (and parents!) are always welcome.

Prayer Team

Our prayer team meets every Thursday morning from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. We meet during this time to bring praise to our Lord and pray for the needs of our church, our body, and our community both local and world wide. We also act as a small group sharing prayer concerns by text throughout the week. Each month we pray over one ministry of our church during Sunday morning services. We have a church-wide prayer chain for those who choose to receive those requests.

Community Kids

Community Kids is all about building relationships. Your children will love coming to church where classmates are close friends and teachers are trusted adults who love them. Active worship, engaging Bible lessons, and fun games make the Bible relevant to their lives. They'll discover that the God who created all things loves them and wants them to know Him. Our Sunday morning experience includes nursery and four age/grade level classes for children 2 years of age through fifth grade. Team members are background-checked and committed to speaking God's love into the lives of our children.

Missions Ministry

The word repeatedly tells us to go into all the world preaching the Gospel. Sometimes that may seem like a daunting task or one that is left to a select few who are called. The truth is that the world begins at our front door and the directive to go and make disciples applies to all of us. We as a missions committee want to inform and empower each and everyone, in order to effectively pray for and support those who are making it their life's work to "go into all the world". We want to make available opportunities that everyone can be a part of as you feel God's call to go forward and tell the world about Jesus.

Adopt a Street

It’s harvest time! Become part of an initiative to take the town for Christ by being willing to adopt a street and visit the families who live on that street once a month to show them God’s love. We will have training and provide all materials. All you need is a heart for others and a willingness.
